How It All Started
Our journey began out of necessity. After my favorite beard products were discontinued on Amazon, I struggled to find anything that worked. In my search, my wife suffered an allergic reaction from the harsh chemicals found in cheap, mass-produced beard care. That was our wake-up call.
Determined to create a safer alternative, my wife had an idea: Why not make our own? So, we got to work. Late nights after putting the kids to bed were spent experimenting with natural, organic ingredients. We researched endlessly and tested different blends until we perfected something truly special - premium, all-natural beard care inspired by nature.
From Kitchen Experiments to a Thriving Brand
Once we had a few scents dialed in, we handed out samples to friends and family for feedback. The response? Overwhelming. People loved them. Before we knew it, we were selling locally, and the demand skyrocketed.
In early 2018, Nickel City Beard Blends officially launched with just a few original scents. Orders quickly outpaced production, so we scaled up operations, ensuring we could keep up with demand while maintaining the quality we’re known for. Today, we offer a growing selection of premium products for both men and women, all handcrafted in fresh batches right here in Ontario, Canada.
With thousands of happy customers across North America, our motto remains the same: "Happy Beard. Happy Life."

One of the most rewarding parts of our journey has been using our success to give back. Every year, Nickel City Beard Blends donates a portion of sales to various charities and community initiatives across Canada. At Nickel City Beard Blends, our mission goes beyond creating premium beard products. We’re committed to making a positive impact on our community because we believe that by lifting others, we all grow together. That’s why we proudly sponsor and support local charities each year.
One of our biggest partnerships is with the Neo Kids Foundation and the Greater Sudbury Police Tactical Unit. Their Superhero Event, where officers scale the walls of Health Sciences North dressed as superheroes, brings smiles and joy to children in the hospital. As a corporate sponsor, we’ve seen firsthand the priceless happiness they spread to these kids.
We also recently joined forces with Ride for Ryleigh, a charity motorcycle event that raises tens of thousands of dollars for SickKids. Witnessing so many passionate riders coming together for such a worthy cause fills us with pride.
In addition to these events, we've donated gift baskets for silent auctions supporting The Canadian Armed Forces and their initiatives for military veterans. We also take part in Movember, dedicating our marketing and charity efforts throughout November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

Throughout the years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with amazing brands and organizations, including The Rock Harley-Davidson, Weight Watchers Canada, Bearded Villains, Brandon University, and even the Co-Founders of SkipTheDishes at Neo Financial. Our brand has also garnered attention from investors on Dragon's Den and Shark Tank, including one who personally called to congratulate us. It was an unforgettable moment!
